Are you willing to offer free or low cost therapy? Required

By registering as a therapist with Therapy 4 Feds, you agree to the following terms:

  • Professional Licensure and Standing: You affirm that you are, and have been for the past two consecutive years, a fully licensed mental health professional in good standing in the state where you currently practice.

  • Provisional Licensure: If you hold a provisional license, you confirm that you have a qualified supervisor approved by your licensing board and that you will provide the supervisor's contact information to any clients you see through the FormerFed Access Therapy network.

  • Pro Bono Commitment: You commit to offering a minimum of 1 free therapy session to each client referred through FormerFed Access Therapy who indicates an inability to pay.

  • Availability for Pro Bono Clients (Requirement for All Listings): To be listed in the FormerFed Access Therapy registry for all former federal employees (including those with the means to pay), you must either be currently accepting a pro bono client referred through FormerFed Access Therapy or actively seeing one. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in your removal from the network.

  • Scope of Practice: You will provide mental health services only within the areas in which you are qualified and licensed to practice.

  • Malpractice Insurance: You confirm that you maintain sufficient malpractice insurance coverage.

  • Professional Status Changes: You agree to notify FormerFed Access Therapy within 30 days of any disciplinary action, change in professional status, or any other event that could affect your license or ability to practice.

  • Responsiveness and Information Updates: You will update your contact information and license details as necessary and will respond to all inquiries regarding your services within five (5) business days.

  • Ethical Standards and Client Dignity: You will conduct your practice with the highest ethical standards, respecting and honoring the dignity and individuality of all individuals seeking your assistance.

  • Mandatory Reporting: You will adhere to all mandatory reporting guidelines as mandated by your state and your professional licensing board.

  • No Client Pre-screening and Disclaimer of Liability: You understand and agree that FormerFed Access Therapy disclaims all warranties and liabilities regarding its clients and that we do not pre-screen clients. You will be provided with general information when a referral is requested.

  • Client Safety and Success: You will take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and successful therapeutic relationship with your client(s).

  • Termination of Participation: FormerFed Access Therapy reserves the right to terminate your participation in our network at any time, with or without cause.
