I’m here to help you find your freedom. I became a therapist because I believe my purpose in life is to be of service. I can relate to the challenges that trauma brings, and the power of finding your voice and your freedom. During my career, I have seen people change their lives for the better time and time again. I am grateful to be a witness to that process, and awed at the resilience, strength, wisdom and fortitude that all of us possess. I believe that help and healing comes through a good relationship with a caring therapist. I strive to connect with people through empathy and validation, and facilitate lasting positive change.

Life is a lot right now. You're not alone! Healing goes beyond symptom relief. t’s about exploring who you truly are. We often build an “ego” to meet others’ expectations, but this can keep us from our deeper selves. Together, we’ll peel back these layers, not to remove the ego but to understand it. Vulnerability here is powerful; it helps soften old wounds and release limiting beliefs. Using mindfulness and self-compassion, you’ll start connecting to your true values and gain resilience. Therapy offers a safe space to reconnect with your inner wisdom, embrace your genuine self, and discover a more fulfilling way of being. My role is to provide a supportive and empathetic space for individuals to understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I offer guidance on coping strategies to develop healthier perspectives. Active listening, non-judgemental communication, and the ability to foster a therapeutic relationship are the core principles Vulnerability is not easy, but is, I believe, the most liberating thing we can do for ourselves! It is how we explore and expose our true nature so that we can continue to connect, evolve, and create a better experience of living. "The wound is the place where the light enters you" -Ram Dass

I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families, and overcoming major life transitions they did not ask for from personal and family challenges to overcoming widespread difficulties. Events have shaped the lives of everyone, and that has shaped the therapy need and our work. I take a flexible approach unique to the client or clients in the room and look at the core strategies to get through, find solutions, look at situations differently, build resilience, and find new avenues. My background includes person-centered therapy, existential therapy, CBT, process oriented hypnosis, structural and strategic therapy, family therapy, humanistic therapy, internal family systems, and mindfulness. I have been proud to serve the federal workers and their families throughout my career and continue to be available in network. I am expanding to offer a group for displaced federal workers and those concerned about the changes in order to create a safe environment to process and build community out of isolation. In our area, many people may feel alone in their experiences or tempted to disconnect, and this is designed to break that idea by experience. My office is a private practice, not located in or affiliated with any federal entity. *Group pending sufficient numbers to begin.

If you're feeling messy, overwhelmed, trying hard to adjust to a life transition but just can't seem to get a foothold, therapy can help. Wellness means more than bouncing back from challenge, it can include bouncing forward with new growth, greater insight, increased resilience and hope despite all the pain and bad days. We challenge ourselves to grow more hopeful, to grow stronger, kinder, and with a belief that growth starts with us.

My goal is to reconnect you with the wisdom and depth in your life that make all problems workable. In fact, the worst symptoms and problems that we wrestle with often hold the seed for growth and transformation as a person. Lifespan Integration is an evidenced based modality that relies on the innate ability of the mind body spirit to heal itself and is the primary modality used in my practice. Typically, I utilize Lifespan Integration with the Enneagram to support one's cognitive understanding of their body based emotional and behavioral patterns with a dash of other body based techniques such as Vibrational Sound Healing.

I am a certified Jungian-based Psycho-Spiritual Director in private practice, a Spiritual Direction Mentor at the Haden Institute, and a Founder of the Guild for Transformational Studies (Jungian-based home study groups, classes, and retreats for spiritual and psychological growth). I worked in the Federal government for 33 years and am thoroughly informed about Federal workings. I engage individuals and groups in therapeutic interventions as each examines the trajectory of his/her own life journeys. At the core of my work is a deep sense of what it means to be human living in the presence of Mystery -- that life holds questions meant for each of us to explore -- and an understanding that greater wholeness develops when we unearth undiscovered material in the unconscious and bring it into consciousness. This work leads to an intimate relationship with one's own inner truth and leads to improvements with others at home, at work, and in other social environments. I am a graduate of Haden Institute’s Spiritual Direction Program and hold an MA in Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and an AMI degree in Developmental Education, as well as coursework from the Guild for Psychological Studies.
